What is the Language & Power podcast?
We started making the podcast during COP26, held in Glasgow. We recorded and published an episode most days of the two-week event. We now publish once a month on political and policy discourse, the language and discourse of current affairs and about urgent issues facing society. Read more here.

Who makes the Language & Power podcast?
Michael Farrelly produces and co-hosts the podcast with Tom Bartlett.
Michael is a former academic, now developing a co-operative organisation for discussing, developing and learning methods of critical discourse analysis (The Discourse Academy)
Tom is a professor at the University of Glasgow.

How does the Language & Power podcast choose guests?
We choose topics and guests that we think are important, interesting and that we think need to be heard and better understood. Get in touch if you think there’s something we should cover.
